Duncan Fire Department’s equipment stolen after water tanker break-in

The Duncan Fire Department says one of their water tankers was recently broken into and robbed.

They say somebody stole a radio, siren, emergency lighting, lifejackets, siren and controller, backup camera and other items. It’s believed the robbery happened at some point between Friday night and Saturday afternoon.

The department says the theft has put the community at risk. If anyone has any information about the incident, or has seen anything suspicious, please contact the Duncan Fire Department or the Duncan/North Cowichan RCMP.
