BC Ferries is warning of delays if you’re planning on going to Salt Spring Island this weekend.
The ferry service says in a service notice that they anticipate an increase in foot passenger and vehicle traffic on all sailings to Salt Spring Island from today through Sunday.
They weren’t specific as to why they expect increased traffic, but there are large-scale events planned on the island, including the first-ever Salt Spring Pride Festival, that could draw people to the service.
BC Ferries recommends carpooling to help reduce the number of vehicles travelling, as they warn people to prepare for sailing waits.
