Ecole Mt. Prevost Elementary School officially opened its new playground on Wednesday afternoon with a ribbon cutting ceremony.
The new multi-generational community playground became a reality after the school won a 125 thousand dollar grant from the Aviva Community Fund.
Among those in attendance was School District 79 Superintendent Rod Allen.
North Cowichan Council, Cowichan Valley School Board members and others joined a large group of students and parents at the presentation.
