There’s no risk of a tsunami after a 4.6 magnitude earthquake was recorded off Vancouver Island.
Earthquakes Canada says the earthquake happened at around 12:39 a.m. Monday.
The epicentre was at a depth of about 10 kilometres, and about 221 kilometres west-southwest of Campbell River or 142 kilometres south-southwest of Port Alice.
The agency adds there were no reports of damage and none would be expected with an earthquake of this magnitude.

They also say there is no tsunami expected.
