Conservation Officers are reminding residents in Cowichan Bay, Shawnigan Lake and Cobble Hill to be aware cougars do live in the area.
CO Peter Pauwels says when it comes to what to do if see a cougar, it’s basically common sense.
Pauwels says pets, livestock and small animals are more likely to be a targeted by cougars.
He says cougars are mainly nocturnal.
