It looks like somebody at recent garage sale in Duncan decided to help themselves to more than the items on offer.
RCMP say it happened on the weekend of March 7th.
At some point during the sale, a person went into the house and walked out with a 60 centimeter tall statue of a mother and child; that definitely wasn’t for sale.
RCMP say the home owner is quite distressed about the loss.

The statue, created in the ’60s, is signed by the artist.
It weighs about 40 kilograms and sits on a wooden base.
North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP are urging anyone with information to contact the detachment at 250-748-5522, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
