Coastal Regional District Chairs say they made a little headway, but no breakthroughs after a meeting with Transportation Minister Todd Stone on BC Ferries.
Garry Nohr is the Chair of the Sunshine Coast Regional District.
He says they were able to make some key points about the ongoing economic impacts – backed by first hand examples from new Islands Trust Chair Peter Luckham of Thetis Island.
Nohr says Stone also offered hope that fares will come down in 4 years or so, and dropped a hint that the fare increases set for April 1st may not be a done deal.
