New bus passes for seniors and people with disabilities in the Cowichan Valley will not be arriving until later this month, but that doesn’t mean public transportation can’t be used.
BC Transit officials say old passes can be used until the end of the month and all drivers as well as employees have been notified.
Jean Scholefield with Cowichan Independent Living says they were made aware about situation recently.
Scholefield says it’s important for seniors and people with disabilities to know they can still ride the bus, and not worry about figuring out alternative ways to get around.
