BC Assessment sending out 2015 notices

BC Assessment has released some of its numbers for 2015, as assessments go out in the mail.

Bill Dawson is a Deputy Assessor for the Island. He says Cowichan Valley property values have stayed pretty stable; in all communities.

Another key number is the “non market change”, which makes a big difference for local governments when it comes to setting tax rates.

You can find out how BC Assessment came up with the figures by looking up your property on the eValue BC part of their website.

People have until February 2nd to appeal.
