RCMP catch impaired drivers and excessive speeder

The Counter Attack program is in full swing, and North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP say in the past week they’ve nabbed four suspected drunk drivers.

They also say two drivers were handed 24 hour suspensions for being impaired by drugs.

RCMP also say a driver pulled over in Duncan is facing the loss of their car for a week and a big fine after being clocked doing more than 140 km/h in a 60 zone. Police say the car, a modified import, has been impounded for 7 days and the ticket for excessive speeding rings up at 483 dollars.
