The mayor of Duncan has responded to the concerns of some small business owners about next year’s reconstruction of major downtown intersections.
Phil Kent says work that will be done on the Ingram/Canada intersection, Duncan/Queens intersection and along Canada Avenue is necessary.
He says it would be tough to schedule the work so that it wouldn’t have any impact, but the City and Duncan Business Improvement Area Society will be working together to make sure the best possible access to stores is available.
The estimated $1,500,000 project is anticipated to start in February and end in May.
