VIREB expands "No Vote, No Voice" to municipal election

Municipal election day is getting closer.

Advance voting is Wednesday in most jurisdictions in our area, and the Vancouver Island Real Estate Board is working to help get information to voters.

VIREB is calling it’s initiative No Vote, No Voice.

It’s a “virtual podium” for municipal candidates running everywhere north of the Malahat.

Blair Herbert, president of VIREB, says the group decided to go this route instead of hosting traditional all candidates meetings.

Wednesday’s advance polls in Duncan and North Cowinchan are from 8 to 8 at the municipal halls. The CVRD advance poll is at the Island Savings Centre.
