North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP say one man is in custody and a woman is in hospital with serious injuries after an early morning incident.
RCMP say they were called out to a home in the Stoltz Road area of North Cowichan, where they found the injured woman and the suspect.
The woman had to be airlifted to Victoria General Hospital.
Police aren’t saying much at this point, but they have revealed that while the man and woman know each other they’re not in any sort of “domestic” relationship. They also say there’s not concern for public safety.
