Two people facing multiple auto theft charges on the mid-Island have been arrested in Ontario.
Ontario Provincial Police say 22 year old Jesse Biley and 23 year old Courtney Therrien are in custody after police spotted a car reported stolen in Sudbury in a ditch along a Northern Ontario highway.
Both are facing multiple charges.
The pair was arrested by Duncan/North Cowichan RCMP in August and charged with stealing more than a half-dozen vehicles in Nanaimo and the surrounding area, at the time RCMP described them as “prolific” car thieves. (See our story here)
