There appears to be more questions than answers in regards to a boundary restructure study that residents of North Cowichan and Duncan could be voting on this November after a joint council meeting yesterday failed to produce common ground on what the non-binding referendum question should be.
Here is what Duncan’s mayor Phil Kent had to say about the on-going discrepancy.
The mayor of North Cowichan is Jon Lefebure.
Both mayors agreed that some members of each council noted that maybe the whole idea of a singular question should be scrapped and not presented to the public on the ballots at the municipal elections.

They add both sides will get back to the drawing board in the next couple of council meetings.
