Transportation improvements on Vancouver Island will top the agenda when Liberal MLA Jordan Sturdy visits Duncan Tuesday morning.
Sturdy is the Clark government’s parliamentary secretary for transportation, and he’s making several stops on the Island this week as the government works on a 10 year plan.
One of the people taking part in the invite-only meeting is Duncan Cowichan Chamber of Commerce president Julie Scurr.
She says they would like to hear if the province is interested in looking at ideas to relieve congestion, measures for accident reduction, safety considerations for pedestrians and vehicles as well as continued support of local businesses on the main roads.
