Fencing around swimming pools will soon be mandatory in the Cowichan Valley following the tragic drowning death of a toddler last summer.
The regional coroner for Vancouver Island is Matt Brown.
He says the CVRD are preparing bylaws as a result of a report released by the BC coroner’s office.
Brown says the CVRD already has implemented a bylaw in Cowichan Bay, the community were three-year-old Jordan Antonio Slottke resided in before he drowned in 2013.
