Liquor manufacturers, Duncan's Farmers Market good fit

The Duncan’s Farmers Market has been getting a greatĀ receptionĀ on alcohol sales since liquor manufacturers started distributing their products about five weeks ago.

The president of theĀ farmer’s marketĀ is Mickey Smith.

He says wineriesĀ were lining up to get a piece of the action.

Smith expects sales to plateau for the rest of the summer and fall but thinks they will climb again when the winter holidays come around.

According to the Ministry of Justice more than aĀ 100 BC liquor manufacturers have set up at Farmers’ markets in over 40 different communities.
