The CVRD has found a private contractor to monitor recycling bins in the Cowichan Valley.
The regional director for Cobble Hill is Gerry Giles.
Giles says she is relieved that residents will now have a chance to deposit plastic and glass at a local facility, which will then be transferred and dealt with.
She adds Fisher Road Recycling will be the only drop off facility in the South Cowichan area.
