Police in the Cowichan Valley aren’t expecting any major problems at this weekend’s Rock of the Woods music festival, however, will be ready to swing into action of anything should happen.
Corporal John Stuart is with North Cowichan/Duncan detachment.
He says one complaint that usually reoccurs during music festivals is that involving the over consumption of alcohol and the problems associated with that such as drinking and driving.
Stuart says they will have more officers patrolling around in vehicles, conduct road checks as well as periodic foot patrols throughout the duration of the event.
