It’s rutting season and bull elk will be more aggressive than usual.
They will be in a hostile mood, as they are territorial and protecting the cows (female elk).
Ben York, Sergeant with the Conservation Officer Service says elk will be aggressive toward people, but only if the person is too close.
The bull elk formerly-known-as “Line Dancer,” was last seen in the Youbou area and is sporting an inner-tube, a tarp, and even wind-chimes on his antlers.
He’s now affectionately referred to as “Tuber,” and loses his antlers every year.
