A Lake Cowichan Secondary School Student was awarded a 100 thousand dollar grant to the University of Victoria.
18 year old Helen Spry says she is grateful and excited to receive the Schulich (shoe-lick)Â Leaders Scholarship.
Spry is going to U-Vic to pursue an engineering degree.
The prestigious entrance scholarship is awarded to high school graduates who enrol in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math undergrad program at participating Canadian universities.
