The province says salaries, the duration of the contract, class size and composition are the main negotiating points as the discussions with teachers on a new collective agreement continues.

The province is offering one point 5 per cent in year one, zero in year 2, one per cent in the third year and three years of one point 5 per cent each with the possibility of an economic stability dividend.
