The province has created 18 thousand new jobs.
That’s according to the numbers released by Stats Canada today.
The province’s unemployment rate fell to 5 point 8 per cent in March down from 6 point 4 per cent in February.
Economist Craig Wright says a year ago the jobless rate in B.C. was 7 point one per cent.

Nationally, the rate fell to 6 point 9 per cent on the strength of 43 thousand new jobs.
Most of the new jobs went to youth and women in B-C.
Many were created in natural resources, such as agriculture, mining and forestry.
It was mostly split between part-time and full-time positions.
