Aviva Contest Shines Light On Needs of Khowhemun Elementary

The Khowhemun Elementary School Project unfortunately did not crack the top five in their category for the Aviva Community Fund.
VIU Nursing Professor Anita Carroll and the group of students that led the initiative were disappointed in the result – but say it was a very positive experience. Carroll says the support from the community was great.
Carroll says being part of the contest raised a lot of awareness about the needs of Khowhemun Elementary and the community should keep their eyes peeled for more information on some  upcoming fundraising projects.
