No complaints from Lake Cowichan residents surrounding Sunfest. That’s according to Lake Economic and Activity Development.
Chair of LEAD Glenda Osborne-Burk says local businesses saw a 20 to 40 percent boost during the weekend festival. However, she says hosting the festival in Lake Cowichan for the first time didn’t come without challenges.
Osborne-Burk says now that they have more information, planning for next year will be improved.
An estimated 17 thousand fans attended the final day of the festival – a record breaking audience for Vancouver Island.
