The only way to make a change is to stand together as a community. That’s according to Hilary Strang, who is part of the Saanich Inlet Network.
The Network is hosting a second Paddle for the Inlet to celebrate and protect the Inlet from a proposed LNG facility. Strang talks about the event that starts from Bamberton Provincial Park, on the east side of the Inlet at 2pm Saturday.
The event is to raise awareness and support for an LNG free inlet.  Strang says the community can get involved by paddling, or just coming out to support to the event.
Canoe and paddleboard rentals will be available from Pacifica Paddle Sports in Brentwood Bay tomorrow for the event.
Steelhead LNG is proposing a 6 million tonne gas liquification terminal for Bamberton in the Saanich Inlet, and the network says the project will have adverse ecological and economic impact if approved.
