Two intermediate students are facing indefinite suspensions after a violent incident at Drinkwater Elementary School in Duncan.
The Cowichan Valley School Board, along with the RCMP continue to investigate the incident. Superintendent Rod Allen says a lot of the information is sensitive because of the age of the students involved, but shares some information on what transpired.
The two students involved will remain at home until the investigation is complete. While public information is limited, parents and guardians were able to ask questions and discuss concerns at meetings on Monday and Tuesday.
Allen says counselling and mental health services are available to any student who may need it.
