High school graduates with an interest in health care are being offered the opportunity to be part of the mental health worker certificate program at the Cowichan campus of the Vancouver Island University at reduced tuition.
Thanks to $106,000 in funding from the Ministry of Advanced Education, the University is able to offer the program to 28 students at half the tuition cost. Dean of the Faculty of Health and Human Services Dr. Carol Stuart says there are a multitude of job opportunities upon graduation.
Registration information for the 2016 September program is available on the Vancouver Island University website. Registration will close when all available spots are taken.
