North Cowichan residents can drop-in at an open house for the Bell MacKinnon Neighbourhood Planning Process Thursday evening. The plans would identify land uses, look at roads, sidewalks, bike lanes and public transit, and consider infrastructure changes. Plus, look at rezoning three properties in the area to accommodate a new hospital.
North Cowichan Mayor Jon Lefebure says they are hoping for a big turn out at the open house, especially from Bell McKinnon residents.
Lefebure expects a variety of feedback.
The neighbourhood plan and a review of the hospital’s rezoning application will be completed by the end of July.
The open house takes place at the Council Chambers from 4-7pm.
